About us: DishCourse is a professional event planning company that specializes in connecting strangers to build new friendships. We plan dinner parties and other events based on common interests. Guests select the location, menu, and topic that best suits them, and DishCourse hosts take care of the rest!

We are searching for hosts to accommodate the demand and growth that we have seen in recent months.

​

About the position: Hosts are responsible for the facilitation of our events, from start to finish usually around 2-3 hours). A good fit is someone who understands how to observe and interpret body language and verbal cues and can guide conversation based on that. A host is an exceptional communicator, with a vibrant personality. They are equal parts creative and attentive to details.

Host responsibilities: Before events, hosts should market the event on their platforms. Even if we're sold out, we want people to feel welcome to join us at another event. The host is also responsible for preparing gift bags, place settings, and thank you cards before their events. They arrive at least 30 minutes early to events so that the table is set in advance of guest arrival. As guests arrive, the host greets them warmly and leads them to their seat. From there, hosts will facilitate the entire experience, which includes: introductions, icebreakers, guided conversations, gift opening, dinner and drinks, Bingo/ games, giveaways, and goodbyes. At the end of each event, we start a group chat and take a group photo.

Please note: We are growing. That means your hours may start out slow, with the potential to grow as we do. Until our planned expansion, expect this to be part time work.
